Objective
Yellow Productions creates travel videos designed to engage audiences beyond trip planning alone. His goal is to produce videos that capture interest whether viewers are actively traveling or simply browsing for entertainment. But, the challenge is it’s hard to produce travel videos without repeating content – especially when revisiting popular places like Las Vegas. Chris needed an efficient way to plan ahead, generate fresh ideas, and fine-tune titles and thumbnails to increase engagement and accelerate the channel’s growth.
Solution
Yellow Productions incorporated Spotter Studio into his creative workflow to streamline ideation. Using Brainstorm, Chris generated new ways to package familiar content. For example, it helped him name and position videos like “Las Vegas Rip-Offs and How to Spot Them” – a video that performed 2.34x better in the first 7 days compared to average by using more captivating language like “rip-offs” instead of the more common “scams.” Brainstorm sparked new ideas for thumbnail concepts, such as holding maps or flags, which he used to create actual thumbnails.Yellow Productions also used Outliers to discover over-performing videos from other channels his audiences watch. These videos helped him identify topics like “Inside SoCal’s Giant Pumpkin Patch,” which performed 2.51x better after being restructured with more compelling titles and thumbnails. By researching and planning ahead, Chris created 2x more videos than normal while traveling.

Improved video performance: Videos reworked with Spotter Studio’s ideation tools saw significant performance boosts, including “Las Vegas Rip-Offs and How to Spot Them,” which achieved 7,893 more views than the channel average. His video “Inside SoCal’s Giant Pumpkin Patch” performed 2.51x better than his previous version of the same topic, earning 5,143 more views in the first 7 days.
